Training and Development

Training and DevelopmentOnce we have completed the assessment work, we will have identified the largest individual or organizational needs.  Then, we help you write individual or team plans which describe how you will address those areas of need.

On the individual level, this would take the form of an Individual Development Plan.  the participating manager or leader typically writes it, with coaching help.  In it, s/he would commit to specific developmental action steps, with timetables, and name specific developmental resources s/he will use from a menu provided.  Ideally the organization would hold them accountable for successful implementation of their development plans.

Similarly, on the team level, this would take the form of a Team Development Plan.  The members of the team typically write it, with coaching help.  In it, they would commit to specific developmental action steps, with timetables, and name specific developmental resources they will use from a menu provided.  Ideally, like individuals, the organization would also hold them accountable for successful implementation of their development plans.

Then comes the Training and Development

Once the competency and needs assessment foundation work has been done, we would build a curriculum of learning programs and other resources to address the largest needs identified in the assessment process.  Smaller needs shared by only a few participants might be referred to a resource outside the organization altogether.  Depending on the need, we would use any of a variety of learning and development materials, some of them original, and some from leading suppliers of learning and development materials, such as Edge Training, HRD Press, the Center for Creative Leadership, and Human Synergistics.
